The Uganda Investment Authority (UIA) on Friday lanched a charter that aims at fighting against constraints experienced by investors from Government departments and parastatals responsible for investment in the country.
The charters presented by sixteen Government departments spell out the services delivered, over what period and the costs involved. Also to provide investors with other relevant information.
They included NEMA, forestry department, NWSC, Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited, the Uganda Insurance Commission, fisheries department, UIA, KCC and URA among others.
“Íf it is clear on the wall for the investor, he or she will know where to go, the costs and time frame in which he will be authorised to open an investment venture.’’ the detailed charter reads in part.Ends
