Man jailed

KAMPALA — A 25-year-old man who allegedly defiled his sister-in-law’s 12-year-old baby-sitter, was remanded in Luzira on Thursday. Simon Ecodu, a student at Nakawa Vocational Training Institute, appeared before Nakawa Grade One Magistrate Flavia Nassuna. He, however, was not charged because the court lacked jurisdiction to hear the case. He was advised to apply for bail in the High Court. Ecodu allegedly committed the offence on October 21.
