CHAMPIONS Lugave underlined their campaign for a second consecutive trophy by storming the semi-finals of The Bika football tournament at the expense of Nnyonyi yesterday.
Nkima, who beat Mbogo 3-1, were the first to qualify for the last four. In yesterday’s quarterfinal action at Nakivubo Stadium, Simon Ssemwogerere put Lugave ahead after 11 minutes before David Kiwanuka took the tally to two at 74 minutes.
Nnyonyi failed to get the ball passed a well-manned defence controlled by veteran George Ssemwogerere.
An expected thriller between Ngo and Mpindi is expected in the third quarterfinal today.
