President Yoweri Museveni (left) has been reminded by the people of Kisoro to honour his pledge to tarmac the Kabale-Kisoro highway.

They said the rough road had caused several accidents and damaged several vehicles.

The Kisoro district council chairman, Dr. Philemon Mateke, and his executive sounded the reminder to Museveni in an interview with The New Vision at Kabale district headquarters on Wednesday.

“We are appealing to the President to remember his 1998 pledge of tarmacking the Kisoro-Kabale highway. We are still waiting for him to honour his pledge,” they said.

He was accompanied by council speaker William Harerimana, secretary for works Henry Tumusabe and Richard Sebagezi the sectary for education.

They were attending a local government seminar at Makanga hall.
