KAMPALA — A retired banker whom the Police claim was part of a group that allegedly stole two Electoral Commission (EC) cheques worth over sh600m, has been released. The Buganda Road Court Principal Magistrate, Charles Sserubuga, recently released Stephen Maaso on a cash bail of sh200, 000.

'State lying'
KAMPALA — The State is fabricating the ‘killer-knife’ evidence to secure a conviction of Richard Arinaitwe in the murder of an American volunteer in 1998, the accused’s lawyer, Protasio Ayigihugu, said recently, while cross-examining inspector of Police Patrick Musumba.

MP laments
Rakai — Kakuuto MP Matthias Kasamba has lamented the failure of parents to feed their children while they are in school. He was recently officiating at the commissioning of three primary school structures in his constituency.
