Man kills self
KAYUNGA — A porter at the Old Taxi Park committed suicide on Sunday after his grandmother allegedly stole the sh5,000 he had saved for buying a chicken for his Christmas feast. Joseph Mulere reportedly went to his grandmother Namwandu Kasule’s home in Kimoli village in Kayunga and left the money in her house before it disappeared when he went out for a drink.

JINJA — The Chief Magistrate’s court has charged Abdu Musoke of Kitigoma in Mukono with five counts of neglect and failure to provide for his family. He appeared before Magistrate Roy Byaruhanga. Musoke allegedly last attended to his children in 1998 and had defied orders by local councillors and the Police to cater for his children.
