Former national football team goalkeeper Ibrahim Kongo will captain the national men’s side to the Africa Handball tournament due to start Friday in Nairobi. F. Angwech will captain the ladies.The duo were selected after the non-residential training at Lugogo under instructors Laury Mutove (men) and Fred Mugerwa (women). They will lead their sides to a competition set to attract over eight countries.Crown Beverages have donated two sets of uniforms to the teams. UPDF and Railways have also promised to sponsor some players to the meet.“We are meeting today evening to review the sponsorship package. We will announce all the sponsors after the meeting,” said Uganda Handball Association’s Jimmy Issamat.Jackson Byamugabe and Fatuma Nakato will manage the men’s and women’s sides respectively while Mutove and Albert Unjima will travell as referees.
