FINANCIALLY crippled Mbarara FC has appealed for assistance from President Yoweri Museveni to enable them compete successfully in the league.

By Douglas Mazune in Mbarara FINANCIALLY crippled Mbarara FC has appealed for assistance from President Yoweri Museveni to enable them compete successfully in the league.Mbarara FC chairman Abdu Kyambadde, on Tuesday said that the team has several times sought assistance from the president, who hails from their district, through the Resident District Commissioner.“We have tried to appeal to the president and First Lady (Janet Museveni) to help the home team. We still request for their assistance if we are to maintain the team in the league,” Kyambadde told The New Vision. Mbarara Municipal Council and district administration declined to take over ownership of the team.“The team is surviving on gate collections and small donations,” Kyambadde said, citing lack of transport as one bottleneck.ends
