BY James Lwanga in ZanzibarVILLA's new tactician Micho Sredojevich has joined the team here and will focus on studying the way the side play. Sredojevich will have a purely advisory role on technical matters while Moses Basena is to remain in charge of the team until the end of the CECAFA Club Championship. The Yugoslav coach, hired by Villa two days ago in Kampala, joined the team here yesterday ahead of their crunch tie with APR last night at Amaan Stadium.“Sredojevich is here for purely preparatory purposes on which he will base his training programme when we return to Kampala. Otherwise the final man is Basena. This is Moses'(Basena) tournament," said team leader Kevin Aliro.“We will be analysing each match together, but he will have no input in team selection and Basena has the right to take or leave Sredojevich's advice,” Aliro stressed. However, Villa’s defensive problems appear not to have been eased by the arrival of Tom Muwonge. The defender, signed from KCC about two months ago, may have to wait for his international club debut after failing a late fitness test. Back on the pitch, Kenya national champions Oserian, were in a situation of win-one-lose-the-other. After holding Electricity of Ethiopia 1-1 in match which could easily pass for a dog-fight, Oserian had a $500 fine slapped on them. A CECAFA council meeting at Bwawani Hotel yesterday decided to fine the club for withdrawing from the tournament and then turning round to participate. ends
