Tourist Drowns In River Nile

A GERMAN tourist drowned on Tuesday night along with the operator of his motorised canoe at Bujagali. They were trying to cross from the mainland to the River Nile Island of Mangeni.

They were trying to cross from the mainland to the River Nile Island of Mangeni.Steffan Seiti, 24, and Muhamood Bajji are feared to have drowned at around 9:00pm when their canoe capsized while crossing the River Nile from Kyabirwa bank in Budondo sub-county to Mangeni Island.Police Spokesman Asuman Mugenyi said four boys who escorted Seiti and Bajji managed to swim across when the canoe capsized in the middle of the river.Ends
