A man whose ferocity had earned him the name of ‘Mike Tyson of Mbale’ was beaten into a comma and smeared with dregs of millet brew.Paul Podo, a resident of Napoli Village, Munkaga, south of Mbale Town, was beaten by about eight people. It all started on Friday day when Podo challenged anyone at his drinking joint to stretch his arm, which he had held at an acute angle. The revellers, knowing Podo’s might, first allowed one of their colleagues to hold Podo’s arm. The eight others then joined in and twisted his arm to the back. When he tried to hit one of them, the entire group ganged up and beat him to near comma.‘Tyson’ was therefore beaten in his own game before dregs of millet brew were smeared on all his clothes. He remained at the drinking joint, where he stayed over-night pondering what could have happened. He however refused to go for medical check-up or even take the assailants to court, saying that he would revenge at an appropriate time.ends
