A circular seen by The New Vision said 55 officers had been promoted to Assistant Commissioner of Prisons (ACPs), Senior Superintendent of Prisons (SSPs), Superintendent of Prisons (ASPs), and Assistant Superintendent of Prisons (SPs). ------BabihugaKAMPALA — The Winnie Babihuga election petition judgement is set for today at the Kampala High Court. Babihuga, the former Rukungiri Women MP and loser of the 2001 election, petitioned against the election of Winfred Masiko Komuhangi. Court heard that the offence was committed on February 15.------CAO saysMOROTO — The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Mr. Luke Lokuda, has advised Karimojong women to campaign against the payment of bride price. He said the exorbitant bride price demanded by some parents was an impediment to the education of girls and therefore a hindrance to the development of the region.
