By Ali MaoTHE Police department needs sh11.2b to build a new police station and a barracks for each district, the deputy inspector General of Police has said.Odwee said this at a workshop for police officers, civic leaders and teachers at Namasale sub-county headquarters.the workshop, under the theme, Partnership in fighting violence against women and children for a better society was funded by the United Nations Development Fund.odwee said the police gets only sh1.6b as annual capital development fund from the Government. He said about 39 Police stations were in a sorry condition.Odwee appealed to the Government and non-government organisations to provide funds to improve the situation in the Police.
