Tofta Education Trust, a British non-government organisation, has donated textbooks and technical equipment worth sh6m to the newly established Lords Meade Vocation College in Njeru, reports Abubaker Mukose.

Tofta Education Trust, a British non-government organisation, has donated textbooks and technical equipment worth sh6m to the newly established Lords Meade Vocation College in Njeru, reports Abubaker Mukose.The donation, which included laboratory equipment, was handed over to the school management on Wednesday by the Tofta director, John Kirkwood.The books cover Mathematics, Physics, English language, religious and technical studies.Kirkwood said it was his dream to improve Uganda’s standards of education. He said Tofta would donate more books, especially in the vocational training sector. “We want to see that students can be able to earn a living even if they drop out of school at a lower level. This is what we want to emphasise,” Kirkwood said. The headmaster, Godfrey Kiganga, commended Tofta for making their vision come true.Ends
