Man cries over ‘small meat’

People were startled when they saw a man crying for meat in Annette’s Karibu Restaurant on Kutch Road, east Jinja.The man, identified as Augustine, a casual labourer in one of the cement shops on Fairway Guest-house building, told the restaurant owner (Annette) that she had discriminated against him by giving him small pieces of meat. Augustine added that being given ‘small meat’ was total malice and created division among customers, yet they pay her the same amount of money.Shortly after this talk, he burst into tears, saying “You Annette you are bad. You give taxi drivers big chunks of meat while undermining us as if they are so special.”Augustine also said it seems the taxi men were all her husbands, which made Annette serve them with special delight at the expense of others.Sources said every body who was present and was having his or her lunch, burst out into fits of laughter on hearing the man’s amusing remarks.I heard that one was choked by food, forcing him to abandon his meal before he was finished.ends
