By JAmes BakamaKCC patron Bidandi Ssali has finally broken silence. Bidandi, who met KCC players and officials at his Bukoto residence yesterday, called for unity in a bid to end the turbulence in the Lugogo club.KCC’s troubles have recently been highlighted by suspension of coach David Otti, fans’ outbursts and loss of five points in two consecutive matches.Sources said the local government minister lashed out at KCC’s executive for washing its dirty linen in public, failure to improve on the team’s welfare and dividing the team.Bidandi cited a case where Otti was blasted by officials in front of players and fans.Players were, however, reportedly not relaxed in front of their officials. Another meeting strictly between them and Bidandi will be organised at a later date.Bidandi told officials to be considerate while handling players’ problems. Players were also asked to be considerate and give their best.KCC coach Abbey Nasur cited intrigue as the main reason for the plunging form.“There is sabotage at various levels in the club,” said the acting head coach. “Some of the outbursts amongst fans are instigated by big people in the club.”Nasur, who took over from veteran Otti, however refused to give names of those fuelling the turmoil. The ex-international said he is not shaken by the underhand machinations. “I coached Kenyan giants Gor Mahia under more intense politics.”Nasur also put part of the blame on the club’s fans. “They are impatient and assume to know more than the coaches.”ENDS
