By Lillian NalumansiKaggwa Ndimulira Nsimbe, now aged 22 years old, was born a normal child. However when he was 7 years old, a friend he was playing with, hit his eye with a stone. A small swelling that developed on his right eye, later enlarged such that Nsimbe had to be operated twice at Mengo Hospital in 1990 and 1993 respectively. The operations were, however, unsuccessful because today Nsimbe’s eye has not only swollen to twice its original size, but it is hanging downwards making it seem like it will fall out of its socket anytime.Doctors at Kampala International Hospital said removing the eye is the only solution if Nsimbe is to be saved from pain.Unfortunately the family has failed to raise about sh2m required for Nsimbe’s surgery.A savings account number 1030000023487 has been opened up at Post Bank to enable Nsimbe raise money for surgery.Ends
