Prime Minister Prof. Apolo Nsibambi will be flown today to Morning Side Clinic in Durban, South Africa for further medical examination by Dr. Steingo, a cardiologist, reports Josephine Maseruka.

Prime Minister Prof. Apolo Nsibambi will be flown today to Morning Side Clinic in Durban, South Africa for further medical examination by Dr. Steingo, a cardiologist, reports Josephine Maseruka.Nsibambi was admitted to Mulago Hospital on Sunday with high blood pressure. Dr. Rutakingirwa and Prof. Otim who are handling his case, yesterday said he had stabilised. When The New Vision visited him at 11:30am, the Premier was jovial as journalists jokingly referred to him as ‘Prof. Lugubrious’, one of his favourite words.Nsibambi was in ward 6B room 14. He had on a navy blue night dress, a dark-green gown with big white dots.A big black file containing his medical reports and travel documents lay in one of the trays and on top of the trolley was placed an ECG machine monitoring his heart.“I hope to be flown to South Africa for further evaluation though I’ve improved,” he said.He regretted that he was confined in hospital though he had important duties to perform. Nsibambi said yesterday he spent 20 minutes signing urgent documents.Ends
