The New Vision marketing department yesterday hosted Kampala's corporate gurus to a sumptuous World Cup breakfast at the Kampala Casino, reports Harry Sagara.“The New Vision is a World Cup paper so we invited a number of people who have supported us through the years for this breakfast," said David Waweru, the corporation’s sales and marketing manager. The event was graced by the British and Nigerian High Commissioners alongside The New Vision MD, William Pike, B.A.T's Henry Rugamba and WBS executive director, Elvis Wavamunno. It was a joyous mood as folks cheered the teams they supported. Nigeria's Jay Jay Okocha caused excitement among the Casino crowd with his clever dummies. This was the second time Uganda’s leading daily was hosting its clients. The first was a luncheon on May 31 during the Senegal-France game.Waweru said that more of these luncheons and breakfasts will come towards the end of the World Cup tournament.“Yes, we shall be offering lunch and breakfast for our esteemed clients at the semi finals and the finals of this World Cup,” said Waweru.Ends
