THE Consecration of Mukono diocese Bishop-elect will cost sh55m according the preparation committee members, reports Nicholas Kajoba.Canon Paul Luzinda was elected as new bishop of Mukono diocese by the house of Bishops sitting in Lweza early this year. He replaces Bishop Michael Senyimba who retired and was appointed as vice-chancellor of Ndejje University. President Yoweri Museveni is expected to be the chief guest at the consecration ceremony to be held on July 14 at the Uganda Christian University, Mukono main ground.The Diocesan Secretary, Mukono, Rev. James Ssebaggala said a total of sh55m was needed to cover the function. “We appeal to all wellwishers to donate in order to make the function successful,’’ Ssebaggala said. A preparation committee has been formed to raise the funds. It will be headed by Mukono North MP Rev. Peter Bakaluba Mukasa. Ends
