The first group arrived in the country on July 13, worn out from the long travel, after spending over two years as refugees in Sudan.Their leader, Gaitano Otim, 45, said they fled Isore after Kony rebels raided their homes, destroying all their belongings. He said there were over 400 Ugandans living among the Logot tribe in Isore since 1998.Otim said the LRA rebels touched their houses and granaries and abducted some people during the attack. WFP field officer for Kitgum district Caroline Opok said her organisation would continue to give food assistance to the returnees. She said special food rich in protein and other nutrients would be distributed to nursing mothers. Ends
