Although still tentative, Musonye said the winners will pocket $100,000 and the runners up $50,000.Rwandese President, Paul Kagame brought life into the club championships last year when he sponsored the event to the tune of $100,000. However, Musonye fell short of disclosing the sponsor of the senior cup.He said the winners of the club cup will receive $60,000 while the package for the under-19 tournament in Eritrea was being awaited.Regarding the draw, Musonye said defending champions, Ethiopia are in Group C; together with Rwanda, Sudan and Zanzibar. Group A; will encompass Tanzania, Burundi, Eritrea and Djibouti. In another development, Musonye announced that only eight countries will participate in the under-20 event. They are champions Kenya, Uganda, Eritrea, Rwanda, Zanzibar, Sudan, Tanzania and Somalia.Ethiopia, Burundi and Djibouti failed to beat the deadline. The cup will now be played after every two years instead of one.Ends
