K’jong Kids Get Sh100m Center

By Joseph OrisaTHE World Bank and the Nutrition and Early Childhood Development Project have handed over a modern children’s resource centre worth over sh100m to Nakapiripirit District.The centre at Lolachat sub-county was built by Atamwata contractors and was handed over by Moroto LC5 Vice-chairperson Margaret Teko.Handing over the centre, Teko warned the sub-county authorities against neglecting or misusing the centre.“Utilise this beautiful resource centre for the good of Karimojong children and guard it jealously”, Teko said. The Moroto assistant CAO, Aloysius Aloka, said the Government and the World Bank were committed to improving health among children, especially in Karamoja. Ends
