By William Muwonge THE longest and highly charged match at the British Airways Open ended prematurely because of poor visibility yesterday. Chris Baagala was leading 4-3 in the final set, having lost the second and taken the first against Shaban Lwanga when proceedings were halted after two hours, 25 minutes at Kampala Club. No efforts were made to play under the poor floodlights. This was after the number five player Lwanga complained that he could not see. But second seed Baagala wanted action to continue. “Will you force me to play when I can not see the ball properly,” Lwanga asked his Jinja club colleague after 7.00pm. The quarter final match was eventually pushed to 3.00pm today. The match had a combination of baseline tennis, rallying, serve and volley and service breaks on either side. Earlier, Patrick Olobo had beaten Cedric Babu 6-4, 7-5.Ends
