The deputy head of the public service, Hilda Musubira, has cautioned newly recruited staff to guard against Aids.

“It would be absurd to have you today and lose you tomorrow. The infected persons should always visit the centres we have set up in conjunction with the Ministry of Health,” Musubira said.

She was opening a three-day orientation workshop yesterday for recently recruited staff in the works ministry, at the Public Works Training Centre in Kyambogo.

They included one woman and 17 men who have already taken up their appointments in different departments around the country.

Musubira called upon the recruits be efficient.

“You should be transparent, give proper accountability of funds and be punctual,” she said.
