KAMPALA — The hearing of the murder case against Maj. Gen. Yusuf Gowon, the former chief-of-staff of the defunct Uganda Army of Idi Amin, starts on November 4 at the high court. Justice Moses Mukiibi is trying the case in which Gowon and his aide, Nasur Gitte, are accused of murdering Eliphaz Laki, a local district administrative officer and Rwampara County chief in Mbarara in September 1972.
