Bell Gives Sh16m

BELL Lager unveiled a sh16m sponsorship package to Kampala Rugby Union Football Club (KRUFC) and Uganda Rugby Football Union (URFU) ahead of the Six Nations Confederation of Africa Rugby (CAR) finals next weekend.

BELL Lager unveiled a sh16m sponsorship package to Kampala Rugby Union Football Club (KRUFC) and Uganda Rugby Football Union (URFU) ahead of the Six Nations Confederation of Africa Rugby (CAR) finals next weekend.
Uganda plays Botswana in the CAR finals at KRUFC to climax the tournament that started last September.
Gorretti Masadde, the Bell Brand manager, handed over the cheque to the KRUFC boss Richard Ssewakiryanga and union chairman Paul Sigombe.
“We (Bell) are proud to be associated with the development of rugby in this country. This package is a testimony of our continued determination to support the game,” said Massade.
The package will have sh13m towards the construction of a pavilion at the Kampala ground and sh3m towards the national team currently preparing for the match.
“KRUFC is grateful to Bell for entrusting us with the development of the game, we promise to put the money to good use and give a good gesture to our friends Bell,” Ssewakiryanga remarked.
Sigombe expressed his gratitude to Bell Lager for the generosity and commitment towards the development of Rugby in Uganda.
The ceremony was attended by Uganda Breweries Communications manger Charles Muhozi, rugby country manager Herbert Wafula among other executives.
Wafula also announced that all rugby fans will pay sh5000 to watch the final encounter at KRUFC.Ends
