PALLISA — The resident district commissioner, Geoffrey Kyomukama, has said that slaughter of animals in urban and civic centres for public consumption should be the responsibility of Muslims. This followed a rift between Muslims and Christians over who should be responsible for slaughtering animals.

JINJA — Eltham Warren Golf Club of London has donated 220 pound sterling to blind children of Spire Road Primary School. The money was channelled through property mogul Mzee S. N. Gandesha who has taken keen interest in the needs of blind children at the school. Ends
