A WOMAN was found murdered in her vehicle in Wakiso district on Friday morning. In it were beer bottles and vomit.
A man, whom the Police identified as Julius Kabuye who was reported to have been the woman’s lover, was also found in the same vehicle unconscious.
The Police said they were investigating Kabuye for probable connection with the murder.
The body of Eva Nakanwagi, 28, of Nankulabye Zone One, whom the Police suspect was strangled, was discovered in her silver grey Toyota Corona 849 UDH in Balababakulu at about 7:00am.
Police spokesman, Asuman Mugenyi said the stickers on the vehicle bore the names of Richard Tuhikiriza, but the car belonged to Nakanwagi.
Mugenyi said information so far gathered indicated that though the two were lovers, they had been going through a stormy affair lately.
It was not clear where the duo were coming from or heading to at the time Nakanwagi was murdered.
However, details which emerged later, indicated that the deceased was a student at Makerere University while her lover, a vehicle spare parts dealer in Kisekka market was a well-known man in the deceased’s family.
By the time the Police recovered the body, the neck bore signs that the deceased had been strangled and it was suspected that Kabuye could have feigned unconsciousness in a bid to cover up his probable involvement, Mugenyi said.
