By William Muwonge NGO, looking for their first trophy of the Baganda clans competition, takes on Ffumbe in the final due tomorrow. The final of the 2000 competition, coming after one month of action, is set for Nakivubo stadium. Buganda Kabaka Ronald Mutebi is expected to preside over the final of the annual competition launched in 1950. Ngo, the surprise package of the 35-team show, is up against a team seeking their first win in 40 years. Ffumbe, Cup winners in 1960, have also set a new mark having played the opener in December. The team hammered Kkobe 4-0 in the opening game with veteran striker Mathias Kawesa scoring a hat-trick. But Kawesa who was again on target twice in the team's 2-0 win against Nvubu in the next stage, will miss the final due to international duty. He is with the national team in Saudi Arabia for international friendlies. In Kawesa's absence, Ronald Kawesa, Ismail Kigozi carry the burden of getting the goals against a resilient Ngo. Ngo, who have fallen out in early rounds of several past events, are enjoying good form. The team upset the formbook beating giants and former cup holders Nkima in the quarter finals before ejecting Ngeye, also past winners, in the semi finals. Goalkeeper Robert Ssegirinya, defender Wisdom Senono, Baker Senabulya in the midfield and Jackson Senabulya have played a key role and are back tomorrow. Ngo will miss Uganda's top scorer Andrew Mukasa presently with SC Villa at the CECAFA Club championships in Nairobi. Ends
