By Emmanuel Mulondo THE Kabarole district campaign task force for candidate Col. Kizza Besigye(pictured) has accused Yoweri Museveni's district task force members of violence against supporters of their candidate. A press statement signed by Johnson Musana and Steven Rwagweri, who are executives for Besigye's task force accused Isingoma Kimome and William Manyindo of organising a mob which disrupted the inauguration of Besigye's task force for Hakibale sub-county recently. Kimome is the district councillor and member of Museveni's district task force while Manyindo is task force chairman in the sub-county. "The unruly crowd came aboard several vehicles armed with sticks," Besigye's task force leaders told the district police commander Francis Tumushabe, the resident district commissioner and the press among others. The letter said the mob shouted and destroyed Besigye's posters on the vehicles and disrupted a consultative meeting that was going on at the sub-county headquarters. the DPC said the matter was under investigation by his office. "The information I have got is that Besigye's people were in their meeting as Museveni's people were also going to make their rally. Besigye's people said they were intimidated, we are yet to get the truth," Tumushabe said. "This behaviour makes the election a mockery of democracy," he said. Ends
