New Vision Hailed For Good Job

THE New Vision newspaper, has been hailed for its coverage of the presidential election campaign.

Mrs. Neluthando Ntonge from the American Centre, on Saturday told journalists of the Northern Uganda Media Club, in a two-day workshop on election coverage at White House Hotel in Lira that the paper had done a good job. Ntonge told The New Vision in an interview on Sunday that during her five-day stay in Uganda, she had assessed the paper and found it to be doing a good job. She said the coverage of presidential candidates for the March 7 polls had been carried out fairly. Ntonge said The New Vision was one of the rare state-owned media that gives fair coverage to all candidates. "The New Vision is doing a more professional job than the state owned broadcasting station, Radio Uganda," Ntonge said. On opinion polls, Ntonge urged locals to get their data to challenge those which are published by government media. Ends
