GOVERNMENT is to compensate Kigumba residents in Masindi district for the livestock they lost during the liberation war.

By Juliet Nankinga GOVERNMENT is to compensate Kigumba residents in Masindi district for the livestock they lost during the liberation war. A press release issued yesterday by the Presid-ential Press Secretary, Hope Kivengere, said President Yoweri Musev-eni said this on Tuesday while addressing a campaign rally in the district. Museveni assured the residents that the government had already set aside money for the restocking exercise. Talking about the achievements of the Movement government, Museveni said they had tarmacked Kafu-Karuma road and were yet to tarmac the Masindi-Kagadi-Hoima-Kyenjojo road. Museveni also said that a ferry had been brought to Wanseko to ease communication to the neighbouring districts. The release said Muse-veni thanked the residents for supporting him for the last 15 years and asked them to vote for him for another term to consolidate the achievements made under the movement government. Brigadier Matayo Kyaligonza, Museveni's campaign co-ordinator for the mid-western region, assured him of an outright win in the region. Ends
