By A. G. Musamali in Kiboga TEACHERS and pupils of St. Paul's Memorial Day and Boarding School, Kyamutwe, in Kiboga demonstrated around Kiboga town to celebrate their success in the 2000 Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE). Led by Mr. Cocus Omoding, the headteacher, and the school's proprietor, Mr. Ronald Ssemugga, the pupils, who were later joined by some parents, matched along Hoima Road before returning to school for drinks and eats. They sang songs of praise to the parents, teachers, and the UPE system. Out of 19 candidates, one got a first grade and two were in second division. No candidate failed. This is an improvement on last year when 17 candidates sat but there was no Grade one. The best three candidates got a grade two. Sources said other bigger and more established schools in Kiboga have had no first and second grade or a very long time. Ssemugga told Education Vision that he never had the opportunity to go to school, so he started St. Paul's to ensure others got the chance. He said teachers were recruited from as far as Teso to raise standards. He commended Mr. Opolot the District Inspector of Schools, for helping in recruitment. Ends
