U-14 league launch for Saturday

THE expanded under 14 league will be launched on Saturday before action kicks off the following day, writes William Muwonge. Nakivubo stadium is venue for launching and first match of the Friends of Football Association (FOF) organised competition. The competition, entering its fifth year, has attracted 375 teams whose preliminaries will be held on 66 venues. A Kampala firm, City Tyres, has sponsored the competition. The event that for the last two years has been competed for by teams from Kampala has been expanded to the eastern, western and Buganda regions. Last year's event won by Hat Trick side, drew 30 teams from the five divisions of Kampala district. Forty three coordinators are making final touches on the competition. FOF recently appointed 32 coordinators to take charge of the event outside Kampala. Ends
