Kapinga loses car in flopped transfer deal

MBALE Heroes has impounded Congolese defender Henry Kapinga's new saloon car until he pays back sh2.9m he allegedly took to play for the club.

Club treasurer Michael Wandera told The New Vision that the car that had just arrived from Mombasa is now impounded as club property until Kapinga, now with Rwanda's APR, pays back the money. "We have impounded the car until Kapinga pays back our money," he said . Kapinga, formerly with KCC, signed a three-year contract last November, but last month absconded and went to Kigali to join Rwanda league champions APR . FUFA has not yet issued Federation of Rwanda Football Associations (FERWAFA) Kapinga's international transfer certificate. He is also yet to clear with KCC. Meanwhile, Heroes today host KCC in a friendly match at Mbale Municipal stadium.
