Bus Operators' Body Sacks Chairman

THE Uganda Bus Operators Association (UBOA) Central has sacked its Board chaired by Caeser Tokuma.

By Milton Olupot THE Uganda Bus Operators Association (UBOA) Central has sacked its Board chaired by Caeser Tokuma. At an extra-ordinary general meeting held at Hotel Africana on Friday, the bus operators resolved to dissolve the board accusing it of failure to convene an annual general meeting for three years. A new board chaired by Eng. Vincent Ssuuna was immediately elected. Hajji Issa Matovu was elected vice chairman, Joseph Nahabwe, formerly assistant general secretary in the old board was elected secretary. Others on the new board are; Andrew Kasula, Samuel Black and Hajji Abdu Katende. The meeting also instructed their lawyers Kwesigabo, Bamwine and Walubiri Advocates to commence legal proceedings to compel the old board to vacate the company offices as soon as possible. Ends
