The Electoral Commission has directed Mr. George Mayanja of Masaka to stop disrupting some voters from checking their names on the national voters' register.

By John Odyek The Electoral Commission has directed Mr. George Mayanja of Masaka to stop disrupting some voters from checking their names on the national voters' register. Aziz Kasujja, the chairman, said on Thursday in a statement that he had received complaints that Mayanja was refusing some voters in Kikumadungu polling station from checking their names on the voters register purporting that they are non citizens. Kasujja said the allegations state that Mayanja is refusing the voters to check their names because they have not been residing in that area for the last three years. "If this is true, the Commission advises Mayanja and the general public that they should not prevent or chase away any individual from checking the register," he said. Ends
