By Grace Matsiko THE United States is sending 12 observers to the troubled district of Rukungiri where one person died and several others were injured in election violence on Saturday. The visit was disclosed by two international observers from German, Ralph Micheal Peters and Walks Schroedter, assigned to the Non Governmental Organisation Election Monitoring group NEMGROUP. They arrived in the country on Monday. This was during a meeting of Peters and Schroedter with Rukungiri RDC Mrs Aline Mary Kemerwa yesterday. The observers also met the area Returning Officer, Frank Ntaho, and Electoral Commission officials. When contacted, Kemerwa said the two observers told her that 12 Americans would visit the district to oversee the electoral process. "We talked about so many things. They told me they were coming here," she told The New Vision. Ends
