A CASE of incitement of violence against former Kampala Mayor Nasser Ntege Sebaggala, has been forwarded to the High Court for re-allocation, reports Edith Kimuli. Buganda Road Court Chief magistrate Mrs. Catherine Bamugemereire sent the file to the Principal Judge after the defence asked for its transfer to areas where the offences were allegedly committed. Alaka Caleb, Sebaggala's counsel, asked the court to transfer the case to Mukono or Jinja since that is where the offences were allegedly committed. He also said the areas were outside the jurisdiction of Buganda Road Court. Sebaggala, also former special campaigner for former presidential candidate Col. Kizza Besigye, allegedly on February 9, at Kasanje Zone in Mbikko, Mukono district, urged a rally to injure or kill foreigners, who would turn up to vote for the President on March 12. He also allegedly, on the same day incited residents of Namulesa trading centre, Jinja district, to do the same. Alaka said if the case is tried where it was committed, the possibility of "planting witnesses" would be avoided. He said it would be easier to tell whether a witness att-ended a particular rally.
