By James Bakunzi Mpigi/wakiso district social service secretary has said the primary education state minister and Mpigi district woman MP, Namirembe Bitamazire, has directed LC3 chairpersons in the districts to list parishes which do not have schools. Eng. Kent Kiggundu said the lists would be submitted to the Ministry of Education. He said many parishes do not have any primary school. "The distribution of schools in the two districts is uneven and has greatly affected education standards," Kiggundu said. He also said classroom allocation in the districts was vital because it would increase school enrolment. He said pupils travelling long distances to schools, may be discouraged from attending school. Kizza Ssenninde, a district official, said the sub-counties would control the funds for classroom construction. He said formation of school management committees should be revised. Lutwama Lwanga, a Nsangi sub-county official, said pupils are not provided with lunch. Ends
