LC5 Boss Warns On Corruption

THE Soroti district chairman, Capt. John Emily Otekat, has told the public to desist from blaming corruption on public servants generally and to focus on individuals so as to pin the perpetrators, reports Richard Otim. He said with generalisations, the public had lost focus saying, it was why many perpetrators of corruption had gone unpunished. Otekat was recently speaking at the closure of a review workshop organised by the Uganda Debt Network at Soroti Flying Academy. He said the district had formed an anti -corruption squad that would, among other things, re-orient the public from generalisation of corruption. "We need to educate our people to help anti-corruption groups," he said. Ends
