By Douglas Mazune AUTOMOBILE Association of Uganda (AAU) has accepted to hand over international motor sport powers to NCS after ten hours of negotiation at Ranch on the Lake yesterday. Sources, who attended the meeting, told The New Vision last night that AAU agreed to hand over power by the end of next month. The meeting presided over by Sports state minister Omony Ogaba and NCS general secretary Abbey Lutaya also agreed that FMU reviews its constitution ahead of fresh elections slated for mid-June. "We have almost come to an end, we have agreed on most of the important issues and we are waiting for both parties to sign an agreement," the source said. AAU's competitions committee (AACC) which had taken over the organisation of the Pearl of Africa Rally from the traditional organisers MOSAC will also hold talks this week to sort out the issue to save the event's reputation. The source said that most of officials in the meeting were optimistic the wrangle would end soon. Ends
