By Eddie Ssejjoba THE Masaka diocesan bishop, John Baptist Kaggwa, has promised to give proper accountability for all the funds donated for the rehabilitation of Kitovu Cathedral. He said he would not misappropriate "a single cent given in for this work" and called upon well wishers to give more assistance without any fear. Kaggwa was briefing Masaka district leaders about Kitovu Cathedral, which is now in its final stages of reconstruction. The leaders were led by the Resident District Commissioner, Rose Mutonyi. The cathedral was chosen as one of the world monuments. President Yoweri Museveni while chief guest at a fundraising ceremony last year, donated sh10m. The bishop said he had so far spent about sh600m on the work. The money was raised through contributions from foreign and local sources. Kaggwa said about sh150m is still needed for completion of the work. He plans to install a public address system worth over sh25m. He appealed to Christians for more donations. Ends
