TORORO - Othieno Akika, the MP for Budama south, has said non-governmental organisations (NGOs), who want to work in communities should first consult with the people at the grassroots before beginning their activities if they are to be successful.

TORORO - Othieno Akika, the MP for Budama south, has said non-governmental organisations (NGOs), who want to work in communities should first consult with the people at the grassroots before beginning their activities if they are to be successful. he was recently launching a local NGO "Uganda Orphans Rural Development Programme" at Mulanda sub-county. Akika said NGOs should not impose their activities on the people from the top but should rather have a bottom to top approach for the benefit of all. Ends
