Education Good For Development Update–Moyo Vicar

Rt. Rev. Dr. Pyerino Madrwa, the Episcopal Vicar of Moyo, has said the purpose of education was to have knowledge and total fulfillment in life which calls for continuous and progressive learning to be current with developments.

Dr. Pyerino Madrwa, the Episcopal Vicar of Moyo, has said the purpose of education was to have knowledge and total fulfillment in life which calls for continuous and progressive learning to be current with developments. He was recently presiding over the Saints Day at St. John Bosco Teacher Training College Lodonga in Yumbe. He appreciated the good work done by the the college Principal, which had made the college excel in academics and sports. Rev Fr. Picho Epiphany Odubuker, the College Principal, said since 1991, Lodonga PTC had produced 1,250 highly marketable teachers and its performance had steadly improved since 1997. He said out of 67 national colleges in Uganda, Lodonga was the 25th in 1997, 13th in 1998, 5th in 1999 and 1st in 2000. Mr. Alex Jurua, the Arua LC5 chairman, handed over a bull donated to the college by the district council for the good performance. The college recently roasted the bull to celebrate Easter day. Ends
