The fast running striker scored with ease to register the first hat trick of the 11-day event at Ndorwa SS ground. Patrick Kimuli and Mark Musisi completed the rout with a goal each. Tom Mugoya scored for Green Hill. Citizen from Kampala Central dictated the pace right from kick off as Bugiri district's Green Hill offered little resistance. Over ten other games were played in the competition that attracted 38 teams from 35 districts. The sh40m event, sponsored for the eighth year by the soft drinks giants Coca-cola, runs until May 13 in Kabale. Kibuli, the most successful team in the event with a record five wins also made a winning start. The giants had to wait until the last five minutes to get the winner. Zakariya Lubega who turns out for NSSL champions Sports Club Villa, struck brilliantly to break the lowly St.Gerald's from Rukungiri district. Defending champions Nagalama Islamic Institute were due to begin their campaign late yesterday. r St. John's College Ombaci and Aringa secondary school qualified for the Kabale finals from Arua and Yumbe districts. ends.
