By Daniel Saire Iganga Police are holding a man for allegedly beheading a five-year-old boy. David Ndalo, 22, is reported to have committed the gruesome murder on Monday near his home at Budatu in Kibaale sub- county, Iganga district. Villagers arrested Ndalo with the boy's head in a satchel. The slain boy, Faluku Kasolo, was son to Asuman Maaka of the same village. Mr Isabirye Isiko, the Kibaale LC3 chairman, said Ndalo was first suspected to have stolen and killed a goat and carried the meat in the bag because it was covered in blood. He said when they searched him, they instead found a human head. Villagers started beating Ndalo but the area police saved him. He was later transferred to Iganga police station. The slain boy had been sent by his father to buy salt at Kibaale trading centre. Ndalo reportedly lured him into the bush by promising him a jackfruit. The Police on Wednesday took ndalo to Iganga hospital for a medical check-up. Tom Richard Ebuu, the CID officer, said they wanted to establish his mental capacity before taking him to court. Ends
