Kyambogo to get new course

The Institute of Teacher Education Kyambogo (ITEK) is to launch a Bachelor of Science with Education degree. According to a press release from the Department of Sports Science, signed by Mr. Byaruhanga Kadoodaba, 150 applicants will be admitted for the three-year degree programme beginning this September. "The programme will train 'A' level leavers to become professional Science teachers. New subject combinations will include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Geography, Economics, Biology, Geography, Sports and Physical Education," the release read in part. The new course becomes the fifth degree programme offered by ITEK. Local students will be charged in local currency while foreign ones will pay in dollars. Ends
