By Julius Barongo THE Coffee Roads Maintenance Project has handed over a 16 kilo metre Kihumuro-Mazooba road to Kibaale district, rehabilitated at sh120m. The road was recently handed over to the district administration by the acting Resident District Commissioner, Rev. Steven Banguma, on behalf of the government. Banguma said residents of Kibaale were lazy and responsible for the poverty in the district. He urged them to educate their children to save them from being domestic servants. Banguma said the road would facilitate development if residents used it to sell their farm produce. The education secretary, Mr. George William Bizibu, said the government had provided the basic needs of development and modernisation like roads and the residents had to work hard to eradicate poverty. He cautioned residents against propaganda politics of division and those who promised them what they could not provide like roads and schools. the assistant RDC, Kaita Senvuma, urged Ugandans to not vote for opposition candidates in the parliamentary elections. He said Ugandans shouldo vote for Movement candidates who will solve matters in parliament amicably without frustrating President Yoweri Museveni's manifesto. He lashed at the electoral commission boss, Hajji Aziz Kasujja, for prohibiting RDCs from participating in active politics saying they were political appointees charged with mobilising and reconciling people for security purposes.
